Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, curled shoots and small fragments of green light found among moss and forest plants. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI do not usually begin with a finished sketch.
