Their open structure gives the earrings an airy sculptural silhouette and allows the glass elements to move gently when worn.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe purple glass creates a rich contrast with the deep black metal. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, it may appear pale lilac, vivid violet, plum purple or softly translucent.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe two earrings form a coordinated pair, but every curved stem, glass element and textured detail is individually shaped and assembled by hand. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.
