Amethyst Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper & Pewter Oval Forest Pendant – Botanical

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and natural amethyst. The small oval openwork composition features a single sculptural mushroom rising on a slender, gently curved stem.

A faceted purple amethyst rests at the base of the pendant within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres. Its natural color creates a luminous focal point against the deep black finish of the surrounding metalwork.

The mushroom has a smooth conical cap without dots. A central spiral, rounded details and a delicate bud-like form complete the miniature botanical composition.

The oval frame surrounds the flowing lines without making the pendant appear heavy. Its narrow silhouette creates the impression of a small imaginary forest scene preserved within a dark botanical window.

Depending on the stone and surrounding light, the amethyst may appear pale lavender, violet, smoky purple or deeper plum.

The version shown in the photographs has a smooth mushroom cap, natural amethyst and a black finish. Raised dots, another available stone or glass color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, curling stems and fragments of violet light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Amethyst is a natural stone, so variations in color, translucency, inclusions and surface appearance are normal and make every necklace individual.

Because every mushroom cap, stem, oval frame and stone setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are a natural part of the handmade process.
