Black Amanita Extra Long Stem Earrings – Copper & Pewter

A pair of handcrafted amanita mushroom earrings made from copper, pewter and stainless steel. Each elongated composition features one sculptural mushroom with a dotted cap and an exceptionally long, slender stem.

The broad conical caps are decorated with individually formed raised dots. Their softly irregular contours give the earrings the recognizable character of amanita mushrooms while preserving the expressive quality of hand-shaped metal.

A small elongated detail beneath each cap creates a gentle transition into the fine curved stem. Each stem ends in a smooth rounded droplet that completes the graceful vertical silhouette.

The two earrings form a coordinated pair, but their curves and proportions are not mechanically identical. These subtle differences preserve the organic rhythm and individuality of the handmade design.

The deep black finish emphasizes the dotted mushroom caps, delicate stems and rounded endings. Depending on the light, the surface may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic.

Their narrow elongated shape creates noticeable movement while remaining visually light. They can be worn as witchy forest jewelry, minimalist fungi earrings or small pieces of sculptural wearable art.

The version shown in the photographs has dotted mushroom caps and a black finish. Smooth caps without dots, another earring size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, slender forest stems and small natural forms emerging through moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature exactly; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Because every mushroom cap, raised dot and curved stem is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, length, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
