Black Amanita Long Stem Earrings – Copper & Pewter

A pair of handcrafted amanita mushroom earrings made from copper, pewter and stainless steel. Each minimalist sculptural design features a small three-dimensional mushroom cap decorated with raised dots and a long, slender stem with a gentle organic curve.

A small rounded detail finishes the end of each stem, balancing the elongated silhouette. The unusual proportions give the earrings a delicate and slightly surreal character, inspired by solitary mushrooms growing on fine stems among moss and fallen leaves.

The deep black finish emphasizes the dotted caps, flowing curves and subtle irregularities created during the handmade process. Their simple open silhouette allows the earrings to move gently while keeping the design visually light.

The two earrings form a coordinated pair, but every mushroom cap and stem is individually shaped by hand. Small natural differences between them are part of the handmade character and make each pair individual.

The version shown in the photographs has raised dots on both mushroom caps. Smooth caps without dots, another size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, delicate stems and unusual forms found among moss and forest plants. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Because every mushroom cap and stem is individually shaped by hand rather than cast or stamped, small differences in the dots, curves, proportions, surface texture and finish are natural and make each pair unique.
