Black Mushroom Earrings – Copper & Pewter Long Stem Dangles – Minimalist Forest

A pair of handcrafted mushroom earrings made from copper, pewter and stainless steel. Each minimalist sculptural design features a smooth conical mushroom cap and a long, slender stem with a gentle organic curve.

A small rounded droplet-shaped detail finishes the end of each stem, balancing the elongated silhouette. The unusual proportions give the earrings a delicate and slightly surreal character inspired by solitary mushrooms growing among moss and fallen leaves.

The deep black finish emphasizes the clean mushroom shapes, flowing stems and subtle irregularities created during the handmade process. Their lightweight construction makes them comfortable to wear while allowing them to move gently.

The two earrings form a coordinated pair, but every mushroom cap and stem is individually shaped by hand. Small natural differences between them are part of the handmade character and make each pair unique.

The version shown in the photographs has smooth mushroom caps without dots. Raised dots, another earring size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, delicate stems and simple natural forms found within the forest. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Because every mushroom cap and stem is individually shaped by hand rather than cast or stamped, small differences in the curves, proportions, surface texture and finish are natural and make each pair unique.
