Black Mushroom Necklace – Copper & Pewter

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter and steel. The elongated openwork composition features two sculptural mushrooms, a small botanical bud and slender flowing lines.

The mushrooms rise at different heights and have smooth, individually shaped conical caps without raised dots. Their softly irregular silhouettes are inspired by delicate forest fungi without reproducing a particular species literally.

A small rounded bud grows from a separate curved stem between the mushrooms. Its understated form adds another organic detail while preserving the airy character of the composition.

Long metal lines cross and separate through the center of the pendant, forming two open leaf-like shapes. The intersecting stems create a natural sense of movement and give the necklace its distinctive elongated silhouette.

At the lower end, the lines gather around a textured cluster of tiny metal spheres. Two smooth droplet-shaped endings extend beneath it and complete the composition.

The pendant loop is integrated into the tallest central stem, allowing the piece to hang naturally from the chain without interrupting its flowing design.

The deep black finish emphasizes the smooth mushroom caps, fine stems and handmade connections. Depending on the light, the surface may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic.

Despite its expressive length, the open construction keeps the pendant visually light. It can be worn as minimalist woodland jewelry, a subtle witchy necklace or a small piece of fungi-inspired wearable art.

The version shown in the photographs has two smooth mushroom caps without dots and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, fine forest stems and small natural forms emerging through moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, bud and decorative detail is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.

Packaging
