Black Psilocybe Mushroom Earrings – Copper & Pewter

A pair of handcrafted mushroom earrings made from copper, pewter and stainless steel. Each elongated openwork composition features two smooth mushroom caps rising on slender, gently curved stems.

The mushrooms are positioned at different heights, creating an organic silhouette inspired by delicate psilocybe mushrooms growing among moss and fallen leaves.

The flowing stems cross and intertwine through the lower part of each earring. They form a small open loop finished with a textured cluster of tiny metal spheres and two rounded droplet-shaped details.

The deep black finish emphasizes the fine stems, sculptural mushroom caps and handmade connections. Open spaces between the lines keep the earrings visually light while preserving their distinctive elongated shape.

The two earrings form a coordinated pair, with the compositions flowing in opposite directions. Every mushroom cap, stem and decorative detail is individually shaped by hand, so subtle differences are a natural part of the design.

The version shown in the photographs has smooth mushroom caps without dots and a black finish. Raised dots, another earring size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, curling stems and unusual forms found within the forest. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem and decorative detail is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair unique.
