Blue Aventurine Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and dark blue aventurine. The elongated openwork composition features two sculptural mushrooms, one rounded stone bead and delicate intersecting botanical lines.

Two mushrooms rise on long curved stems at opposite sides of the pendant. Both have smooth, individually shaped conical caps without raised dots.

A single round aventurine bead forms the central point of color. Its dark blue surface contains subtle sparkling flecks that become more visible when the stone catches the light.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the stone may appear midnight blue, navy, blue-black or softly shimmering cobalt.

Several long metal lines cross through the composition, creating an airy, naturally irregular structure. Their flowing curves visually connect the mushroom stems, stone and lower details.

One tall central stem leads into an integrated pendant loop at the top. This allows the composition to hang naturally from the chain without interrupting its narrow organic silhouette.

The lower stems gather around a textured cluster of tiny metal spheres. This irregular detail resembles a miniature patch of forest soil from which the mushrooms and curved lines emerge.

Two fine stems cross beneath the textured base and end in smooth rounded droplets. These small moving details complete the pendant’s elongated form.

The deep black finish emphasizes the smooth mushroom caps, fine intersecting stems and dark blue stone. Depending on the light, the metal may appear matte black, deep graphite or softly metallic.

Despite its expressive length, the open construction keeps the necklace visually light. It can be worn as woodland jewelry, a dark botanical talisman or a small piece of sculptural wearable art.

The version shown in the photographs has two smooth mushroom caps without dots, one dark blue aventurine bead and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available stone color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of tall forest mushrooms, slender stems and fragments of blue light found among woodland plants. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

Aventurine should be added to the Materials field, and the personalization wording should refer to stone rather than glass.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The aventurine bead may vary subtly in shape, surface texture, sparkling inclusions and shade. These differences are characteristic of individual stone elements and make every finished pendant slightly different.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, stone setting and lower detail is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
