A pair of handcrafted asymmetrical bird earrings made from copper, pewter, blue glass and steel. One earring features a small sculptural bird above a round glass element, while the other combines matching glass with a dotted metal setting and an open teardrop-shaped loop.
The two different compositions are connected through the same materials, deep blue color and flowing organic lines. Together they form a balanced mismatched pair while allowing each earring to retain its own distinctive character.
These earrings are designed as small wearable objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each element is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.
The design begins with observations of small birds, raindrops and reflections of the sky seen through forest shadows. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these impressions to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.
I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is darkened with patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finish to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.
The blue glass catches and reflects the surrounding light and may appear pale blue, turquoise or deeper blue depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle.
Because every Yadovito piece is made by hand, small differences in the bird shape, glass form, dotted setting and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
