Blue Glass Mushroom Earring – Silver Tone

A handcrafted single mushroom earring made from copper, pewter, steel and vivid blue glass. The elongated openwork composition features two sculptural mushrooms growing among slender flowing botanical lines.

The two mushrooms rise at different heights and have smooth, individually shaped conical caps without raised dots. Their long curved stems create an airy asymmetrical silhouette inspired by delicate forest fungi.

A round blue glass element forms the luminous focal point of the earring. It rests within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and small rounded details that emphasize its handmade shape.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear cobalt blue, turquoise blue, sapphire or a deeper ocean shade.

An elongated seed-like bud grows from a separate curved stem near the lower section. Fine metal lines cross and separate throughout the composition, creating the impression of a small imaginary forest plant.

At the base, the stems gather among individually formed metal spheres. Two smooth droplet-shaped endings complete the long botanical silhouette.

The polished silver-tone surface reflects the light and emphasizes the smooth mushroom caps, delicate stems and luminous glass. The earring is silver in color but is not made from sterling silver.

This listing is for one individual earring, making it suitable for an intentionally mismatched look, a curated ear arrangement or wearing alone as a sculptural statement piece.

The version shown in the photographs has two smooth mushroom caps without dots, blue glass and a silver-tone finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom earring size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

This earring is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, seed pods and fragments of blue light found among moss and forest plants. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Subtle differences in its contours, internal texture, transparency and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass setting and botanical detail is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each earring individual.
