Available on request: different mushroom details, another available glass color, a custom size or a silver-tone finish.

A handcrafted mushroom hair pin made from copper, pewter, blue glass and steel. The sculptural openwork composition features three individually shaped mushrooms rising on long, gently curved stems above a luminous blue glass element.

One mushroom cap is decorated with raised dots, while the other two have smooth surfaces. A textured seed-like botanical form and several rounded buds grow between the mushrooms, creating an intricate miniature forest composition.

The blue glass forms the visual center of the hair pin. It is surrounded by a setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details, creating a rich contrast between the smooth luminous glass and the blackened metalwork.

The stems spread outward at different heights, giving the design a natural sense of movement. The lower section develops into two long, gently wavy prongs designed to slide into a bun, twist or another pinned hairstyle.

The version shown combines one dotted mushroom cap with two smooth caps. Different mushroom details, another available glass color, a custom size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The hair pin can be worn as a distinctive forest-inspired accessory for everyday hairstyles, festivals, fantasy styling, photo shoots or special occasions.

It is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, young forest plants and fragments of blue light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The handmade glass catches and reflects the surrounding light. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, its shade may appear bright blue, deep cobalt or slightly turquoise.

Because every mushroom cap, stem, glass setting and botanical detail is individually shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, glass form and finish are natural and make each hair pin unique.
