Blue Glass Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper & Pewter Forest Pendant – Woodland

A handcrafted mushroom necklace made from copper, pewter, blue glass and steel. The openwork composition features three sculptural mushroom caps rising on long, gently curved stems above a luminous round glass element.

A smaller blue glass bead adds another bright point of color among the dark botanical forms. Delicate bud-like details, rounded metal accents and flowing side lines complete the miniature woodland composition.

The large blue glass element forms the visual center of the necklace. Its handmade surface catches and reflects the surrounding light, creating a vivid contrast with the blackened metal.

The chain connects to two handmade rings at the sides of the pendant, allowing the necklace to rest naturally along the neckline. The asymmetrical stems and varied heights of the mushrooms give the piece an organic sense of movement.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each element is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, young forest plants and fragments of blue light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and shaped individually. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, its color may appear bright blue, deep cobalt or slightly turquoise.

Because every element is shaped by hand, small differences in the mushroom caps, curved stems, glass forms, botanical details and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.

Packaging

Your order will be packed with care in a kraft gift box, decorated with themed stickers and dried flowers, ready for gifting or keeping as a personal piece.
