Blue Glass Mushroom Necklace – Silver Tone Copper & Pewter Forest Pendant – Botanical

A handcrafted mushroom necklace made from copper, pewter, blue glass and steel. The openwork composition features three sculptural mushrooms rising on long, gently curved stems around a luminous oval glass element.

The mushrooms are arranged at different heights and have smooth, individually shaped caps without dots. Their slender stems curve across the composition, creating the impression of a miniature fungi garden growing from the glass.

The rich cobalt-blue glass forms the visual center of the necklace. It is surrounded by a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and organic pointed details that connect it visually to the flowing stems.

A small bud-like form, rounded endings and delicate open curls add movement and balance to the design. Two handmade side rings connect the composition to the chain and allow it to rest naturally along the neckline.

The polished silver-tone surface reflects the light and emphasizes the handmade curves, mushroom silhouettes and textured glass setting. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear vivid cobalt, sapphire blue or a deeper ocean shade.

The version shown in the photographs has three smooth mushroom caps without dots, blue glass and a silver-tone finish. Dotted caps, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

The necklace is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, curling forest plants and fragments of blue light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

The glass is individually shaped by hand. Small differences in its contours, internal texture and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, stem and glass setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, glass form and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
