Available on request: raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom brooch size or a silver-tone finish.

A handcrafted mushroom brooch made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and vivid blue glass. The elongated sculptural composition features three mushrooms rising above a luminous round glass element.

The mushrooms are arranged at different heights and have smooth, individually shaped conical caps without raised dots. Their long slender stems create the impression of delicate forest fungi growing upward toward the light.

A large round blue glass element forms the glowing base of the brooch. It rests within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and small organic details that emphasize its softly irregular handmade form.

Two additional curved stems frame the mushroom composition. One ends in a small rounded droplet, while the other carries an elongated seed-like bud.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear bright turquoise blue, vivid cobalt, sapphire or a deeper ocean shade.

The long integrated brooch pin follows the vertical direction of the composition and secures into a small curved catch near the base. The brooch can be worn on a jacket, coat, scarf, hat or another fabric able to support the pin.

The deep black finish emphasizes the smooth mushroom caps, fine stems and luminous blue glass. Depending on the light, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic.

Despite its expressive height, the open construction keeps the brooch visually light. It can be worn as woodland jewelry, a witchy botanical accent or a small piece of sculptural wearable art.

The version shown in the photographs has three smooth mushroom caps without dots, blue glass and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom brooch size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

This brooch is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, seed pods and fragments of blue light found among moss and forest plants. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Subtle differences in its contours, internal texture, transparency and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass setting and fastening element is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each brooch individual.
