Bone Bead Branch Earrings – Blackened Copper

A pair of handcrafted botanical branch earrings made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and natural bone beads. Each open composition features four slender curved stems carrying softly rounded cream-colored beads.

Four branches spread outward from a textured upper junction in each earring. Their fine handmade curves create a light fan-shaped silhouette inspired by berries, seed heads and delicate forest plants.

Each stem ends in one rounded natural bone bead. The warm cream tone introduces a soft organic contrast against the deep black metalwork.

Small dark metal details finish the ends of the beads and visually connect their smooth surfaces with the fine curved stems.

Because bone is a natural material, the beads may show subtle differences in tone, grain, surface markings and shape. These variations are part of the material’s character and make every finished pair individual.

The two earrings are intentionally asymmetrical. They share the same materials, proportions and number of beads, but the direction and spacing of the branches differ across the pair.

The deep black finish emphasizes the slender botanical lines and pale natural beads. Depending on the lighting, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite, warm bronze-black or softly metallic.

The open construction keeps the earrings visually light despite their expressive width. The curved branches move gently when worn, allowing the beads to create a subtle sense of rhythm.

There are no mushrooms, glass elements, gemstones or ceramic components in this design. Its character comes entirely from the combination of natural bone, fine metal lines and an intentionally irregular botanical structure.

The version shown in the photographs has four cream-colored bone beads in each earring, a black finish and lever-back clasps. A custom earring size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of fine branches, pale berries, dried seed heads and organic forms found within the natural world. I do not reproduce nature literally. I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

Its closure field should be changed from Ear wire to Lever-back, and the outdated glass-and-mushroom personalization should be removed.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Natural bone beads may vary subtly in cream tone, grain, surface markings and proportions. These differences are characteristic of the material rather than manufacturing defects.

Because every branch, textured connection and bead setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair individual.

Packaging
