Clear Glass Flower Earrings – Blackened Copper Botanical Dangles – Sculptural

A pair of handcrafted botanical flower earrings made from copper, pewter, steel and clear glass. Each elongated openwork composition combines a luminous teardrop-shaped glass element with delicate stems, buds and flowing handmade metal lines.

One large transparent glass element forms the center of each earring. Its softly irregular teardrop shape is enclosed within a narrow dark metal frame.

Fine curved metal lines travel across the glass surface like the veins of a translucent petal. They add depth to the clear center without hiding the light passing through it.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear crystal clear, softly milky, pale green, silvery or touched with subtle iridescent reflections.

Above the glass, four slender stems spread outward around the central attachment line. Each stem ends in a smooth rounded tip, creating a stylized flower-like crown.

A textured cluster of tiny metal spheres gathers the upper stems and connects them with the glass setting. This irregular handmade surface contrasts with the smooth transparent center.

Below the glass, a small rounded connector leads into a Y-shaped botanical branch. Two side stems end in pointed leaf- or seed-like buds, while the central line finishes in a polished metal droplet.

The two earrings form a coordinated, oppositely directed pair. Their curved internal lines and botanical details follow the same visual rhythm but are not mechanically identical.

The deep black finish emphasizes the transparent glass, fine floral stems and sculptural lower branches. Depending on the light, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic.

Despite their expressive length and detailed construction, the open design keeps the earrings visually airy. They can be worn as unusual flower jewelry, woodland-inspired dangles or small pieces of sculptural wearable art.

The version shown in the photographs has clear glass and a black finish. Another available glass color, a custom earring size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of transparent petals, opening flower stamens, seed pods and drops of light found within the natural world. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is individually shaped. Subtle differences in its contours, transparency, internal texture and reflections are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every glass setting, curved stem, botanical bud and droplet is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
