Clear Glass Mushroom Hoop Earrings – Blackened Copper & Pewter Forest – Botanical

A pair of handcrafted mushroom hoop earrings made from copper, pewter, clear glass and stainless steel. Each circular openwork composition features two sculptural mushrooms rising on slender, gently curved stems around a luminous round glass element.

The large transparent glass element rests near the lower edge of each hoop within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres. A smaller clear glass bead adds another delicate point of light among the flowing dark lines.

Two smooth mushroom caps rise at different heights inside each circular frame. A central spiral, rounded accents and a small bud-like form complete the miniature forest composition.

The earrings share the same materials and visual language, but their botanical elements flow in opposite directions. Together they form a balanced asymmetrical pair rather than exact mirror copies.

The transparent glass catches and reflects the surrounding light. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, it may appear crystal clear, softly smoky or touched by subtle pale reflections.

The deep black finish emphasizes the mushroom silhouettes, curved stems and textured glass settings. Despite their detailed construction, the open circular frames keep the earrings visually light.

The version shown in the photographs has smooth mushroom caps without dots, clear glass and a black finish. Dotted caps, another available glass color, a custom earring size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of mushroom clusters, curling stems and drops of clear light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The clear glass elements are individually shaped. Small differences in their contours, internal texture and reflections are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, stem, circular frame and glass setting is shaped and assembled by hand, slight differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
