Clear Glass Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper & Pewter Forest Pendant – Botanical

A handcrafted mushroom necklace made from copper, pewter, steel and clear glass. The airy openwork composition features two sculptural mushrooms growing above a luminous rounded glass element.

The mushrooms rise at different heights and have smooth, individually shaped conical caps without raised dots. Their slender curved stems create a delicate asymmetrical silhouette inspired by small forest fungi.

A large transparent glass element forms the visual center of the necklace. Its softly irregular handmade surface catches the surrounding light and creates subtle reflections within the dark metal composition.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear crystal clear, softly smoky, pale silver or touched with blue, gold and iridescent reflections.

A small rounded bud rises between the two mushrooms. Curved side branches extend outward from the glass setting and end in elongated seed-like forms and smooth metal droplets.

Tiny metal spheres surround the lower edge of the glass, creating a textured organic setting. Several fine stems cross its surface, visually connecting the glass to the mushrooms and botanical details above.

Two handmade side rings connect the decorative composition directly to the chain, allowing the necklace to rest naturally along the neckline. The open structure keeps the piece visually light despite its sculptural character.

The deep black finish emphasizes the smooth mushroom caps, fine curved lines and luminous transparency of the glass.

The version shown in the photographs has two smooth mushroom caps without dots, clear glass and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The necklace is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, young forest shoots and drops of light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is individually shaped, so subtle differences in its contours, internal texture, transparency and reflections are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass setting and decorative detail is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
