Clear Glass Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper Forest Pendant – Witchy Botanical

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, steel and clear glass. The elongated openwork composition features one sculptural mushroom, a luminous glass element and flowing botanical lines.

The mushroom has a smooth, individually shaped conical cap without raised dots. Its long slender stem curves through the upper part of the pendant, creating a simple but expressive forest silhouette.

A round clear glass element forms the main point of light within the dark composition. It is surrounded by a textured setting of tiny metal spheres that emphasizes its softly irregular handmade shape.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear crystal clear, softly smoky, pale silver or touched with subtle reflections from its surroundings.

Several fine metal lines cross and separate throughout the pendant. A small rounded ending and an open leaf-like form add movement while preserving the light, airy structure.

At the bottom, the stems gather around a textured cluster of small metal spheres. Two smooth droplet-shaped endings complete the elongated botanical silhouette.

The pendant loop is integrated into one of the upper curved lines, allowing the composition to hang naturally without interrupting its flowing form.

The deep black finish emphasizes the mushroom cap, delicate stems and luminous transparency of the glass. Despite its dramatic length, the open construction keeps the pendant visually light.

The version shown in the photographs has one smooth mushroom cap without dots, clear glass and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, slender stems and small fragments of light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is individually shaped, so subtle differences in its contours, internal texture, transparency and reflections are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass setting and decorative detail is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
