Clear Glass Mushroom Statement Necklace – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted mushroom statement necklace made from copper, pewter, steel and clear glass. The open fan-shaped composition features three sculptural mushrooms rising above a luminous teardrop-shaped glass element.

The mushrooms stand at different heights on long, individually curved stems. Each one has a smooth conical cap without raised dots, creating three simple dark silhouettes above the transparent center.

A large teardrop-shaped glass element forms the base of the composition. It is enclosed within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details resembling shoots emerging from the forest floor.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear crystal clear, softly milky, silvery white, pale blue or touched by colors reflected from its surroundings.

A small round clear glass bead appears on a separate central stem. Its transparent surface catches the light and creates a delicate secondary focal point between the mushroom caps.

Another central stem curls inward to form an open spiral with a rounded ending. This flowing line introduces movement and softens the tall vertical rhythm of the mushrooms.

A slender branch on the left ends in an elongated seed-like bud, while the opposite branch finishes in a smooth rounded droplet. These side details extend the composition outward and balance its fan-shaped silhouette.

The necklace chain attaches to two integrated rings positioned at the outer edges of the decorative section. This two-point construction allows the sculptural centerpiece to rest across the neckline rather than hanging from a single pendant loop.

The deep black finish emphasizes the transparent glass, fine stems and individually shaped mushroom caps. Depending on the light, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic.

Despite its expressive structure, the open spaces between the stems keep the necklace visually airy. It can be worn as woodland jewelry, a contemporary forest collar or a small piece of sculptural wearable art.

The version shown in the photographs has three smooth mushroom caps without dots, two clear glass elements and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom decorative-section size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

This necklace is designed as a wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of tall mushrooms, curling shoots, seed pods and transparent drops of light found among forest plants. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

It currently lists the pendant dimensions as 4.5 × 3.5 cm. The photographs show a two-point chain attachment and three smooth mushroom caps.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass may vary subtly in outline, internal texture, transparency and reflections. These small differences are natural characteristics of handmade glass elements.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass setting and side attachment is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
