Frosted Glass Mushroom Necklace – Silver Tone

A handcrafted mushroom necklace made from copper, pewter, steel and frosted glass. The airy botanical composition features three sculptural mushrooms rising above a luminous round glass element.

The mushrooms are arranged at different heights and have smooth, individually shaped caps without dots. Their slender curved stems create the impression of delicate forest fungi growing toward the light.

A large round frosted glass element forms the visual center of the necklace. It is surrounded by a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details that resemble new shoots emerging from the forest floor.

A smaller translucent frosted glass bead rests higher among the stems, adding a second soft point of light to the composition.

Several curved lines end in rounded metal droplets and bud-like forms. One long stem crosses the surface of the main glass element, giving the open composition a gentle sense of movement.

Two handmade side rings connect the pendant directly to the chain, allowing it to rest naturally along the neckline.

The frosted glass softly diffuses the surrounding light. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, it may appear milky white, pale grey, softly blush-toned or almost transparent.

The polished silver-tone finish emphasizes the fine stems, smooth mushroom caps and textured glass setting. The necklace is silver in color but is not made from sterling silver.

The version shown in the photographs has three smooth mushroom caps without dots, frosted glass and a silver-tone finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

The necklace is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, pale drops of light and small forest forms emerging through moss and leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

The glass elements are individually shaped, so subtle differences in their contours, internal texture, translucency and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass setting and decorative detail is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
