Glass Mushroom Oval Earrings – Silver Tone

A pair of handcrafted mushroom earrings made from copper, pewter, steel and clear glass. Each elongated oval composition features two sculptural mushrooms growing among delicate curved stems and botanical forms.

The mushrooms rise at different heights and have smooth, individually shaped caps without raised dots. Their slender stems create an airy miniature fungi scene inside each oval frame.

A large rounded clear glass element forms the luminous base of each earring. Its softly faceted surface is surrounded by tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details that resemble new shoots emerging from the forest floor.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear crystal clear, softly frosted, pale blush or touched with warm reflections from the surroundings.

An elongated metal bud grows on a separate curved stem. A delicate spiral ending in a rounded detail adds movement and balances the two mushroom silhouettes.

The polished silver-tone finish reflects the light and emphasizes the smooth mushroom caps, fine stems and textured glass settings. These earrings are silver in color but are not made from sterling silver.

The two earrings form a coordinated, oppositely directed pair. Their compositions follow the same visual rhythm but are not mechanically identical, preserving the organic character of the handmade work.

The open oval construction keeps the earrings visually light despite their expressive length. They can be worn as woodland jewelry, fairy-inspired accessories or small pieces of sculptural botanical art.

The version shown in the photographs has two smooth mushroom caps, clear frosted glass and a silver-tone finish in each earring. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom earring size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, curling forest plants and drops of light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Subtle differences in its contours, facets, internal texture, transparency and reflections are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, oval frame and glass setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
