Green Glass Amanita Statement Necklace – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted statement mushroom necklace made from copper, pewter, steel and vivid green glass. The wide crescent-shaped composition spreads across the neckline like a miniature imaginary forest.

Five sculptural mushrooms rise from the textured center of the necklace. Three larger caps are decorated with individually formed raised dots, while two smaller mushrooms have smooth caps without dots.

The mushrooms stand on long, slender stems of different heights. Their varied curves create a fan-like silhouette and give the composition an organic sense of upward movement.

A large round green glass element forms the central focal point. It rests within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed details that resemble new growth emerging from the forest floor.

Four smaller green glass beads appear on separate curved stems throughout the composition. Their scattered placement creates luminous accents on both sides of the mushroom cluster.

A delicate spiral curls inward on the left side, while an elongated metal bud rises near the opposite edge. These contrasting details balance the asymmetrical arrangement of mushrooms and glass.

Two broad curved metal lines form the lower crescent frame. The chain connects to handmade rings at both ends, allowing the sculptural section to follow the natural curve of the neckline.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear vivid emerald, lime green, bright grass green or a deeper forest shade.

The deep black finish emphasizes the delicate stems, dotted mushroom caps and glowing glass. Despite its expressive width, the open construction keeps the necklace visually light.

The version shown in the photographs has three dotted mushroom caps, two smooth caps, five green glass elements and a black finish. Different mushroom details, another available glass color, a custom necklace size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

This necklace is designed as a sculptural wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each metal component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of mushroom colonies, fine forest stems and fragments of green light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass elements are individually shaped, so subtle differences in their contours, internal texture, transparency and shades are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, raised dot, curved stem, glass setting and crescent frame is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
