Green Glass Branch Earrings – Silver Tone

A pair of handcrafted asymmetrical branch earrings made from copper, pewter, steel and luminous green glass. Each elongated openwork composition resembles a delicate forest branch carrying translucent berries and drops of green light.

Five slender stems spread outward from a textured upper junction. One branch holds a large round pale green glass element, while two others end in smaller faceted bright green beads.

The large glass element rests within a richly textured setting of tiny metal spheres. Its softly irregular handmade surface and pale olive-green tone create a gentle focal point within the silver-tone composition.

The two smaller beads are positioned at different heights along the curved branches. Their vivid emerald color catches the light and adds movement when the earrings are worn.

Two additional branches end in smooth sculptural metal droplets. These simple rounded forms balance the three glass elements without making the composition feel crowded.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the larger glass may appear pale green, olive, yellow-green or softly smoky, while the smaller beads may shift between emerald and vivid grass green.

The two earrings form an intentionally asymmetrical pair. They share the same materials and visual rhythm, but the direction, spacing and curvature of the branches differ.

The polished silver-tone finish reflects the light and emphasizes the fine branches, textured glass settings and handmade connections. These earrings are silver in color but are not made from sterling silver.

Despite their expressive length, the open construction keeps the earrings visually light. They can be worn as woodland jewelry, contemporary botanical earrings or small pieces of sculptural wearable art.

The version shown in the photographs has pale and vivid green glass with a silver-tone finish. Another available glass color, a custom earring size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender branches, berries, seed pods and fragments of green light found within the natural world. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Subtle differences in its contours, internal texture, transparency and shades are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every branch, glass setting and metal droplet is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
