Green Glass Long Stem Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, green glass and stainless steel. The airy sculptural composition features three individually shaped mushroom caps rising on long, gently curved stems above a luminous round glass element.

The green glass rests at the base of the pendant within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details. Its vivid translucent color creates a striking contrast with the deep black finish of the surrounding metalwork.

The three mushrooms are arranged at different heights, giving the impression of a miniature fungi garden growing from the glass. A curled central stem and delicate rounded buds add movement and balance to the open composition.

The smooth mushroom caps have slightly different shapes and proportions, emphasizing the handmade character of the pendant. The open spaces between the stems keep the design visually light despite its detailed sculptural construction.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear bright emerald, blue-green or a deeper forest green.

The version shown in the photographs has smooth mushroom caps without dots. Dotted caps, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of mushroom clusters, curling forest plants and fragments of green light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Small differences in its contours, internal texture and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, stem and glass setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, glass form and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.

Packaging

Your order will be packed with care in a kraft gift box, decorated with themed stickers and dried flowers, ready for gifting or keeping as a personal piece.
