Green Glass Mushroom Cluster Necklace – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted mushroom necklace made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and luminous green glass. The open fan-shaped centerpiece features three sculptural mushrooms rising above one large rounded glass element.

Three mushrooms stand at different heights on slender, individually curved stems. Each has a smooth conical cap without raised dots, creating a delicate cluster of dark woodland silhouettes.

The tallest mushroom rises near the center, while two smaller mushrooms appear on either side. Their changing heights and gently curved stems give the composition a naturally irregular forest rhythm.

A large rounded green glass element forms the luminous base of the centerpiece. It is enclosed within a textured handmade setting of tiny metal spheres and small organic details.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear vivid lime green, olive, moss green, yellow-green or a deeper forest shade. Its internal texture becomes especially visible when light passes through it.

Two long curved metal lines travel across the front of the glass. Their flowing shapes add movement to the transparent surface and visually connect the glass with the upper mushroom stems.

A separate slender branch ends in an elongated seed-like bud. Several additional stems finish in smooth rounded droplets, creating a varied botanical rhythm around the mushrooms.

The necklace chain attaches to two integrated rings positioned at the outer sides of the centerpiece. This two-point construction allows the decorative section to rest evenly across the neckline rather than turning like a pendant suspended from one central loop.

The deep black finish emphasizes the smooth mushroom caps, fine curved stems and luminous green glass. Depending on the light, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic.

Despite its detailed construction, the open spaces between the stems keep the necklace visually airy. It can be worn as woodland jewelry, a mushroom talisman or a small piece of sculptural botanical art.

The version shown in the photographs has three smooth mushroom caps without dots, one green glass element and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom centerpiece size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

This necklace is designed as a wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of tall mushrooms, delicate forest stems, seed pods and fragments of green light found among woodland plants. I do not reproduce nature literally. I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass may vary subtly in outline, internal texture, bubbles, transparency and shade. These differences are natural characteristics of individual glass elements.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass setting and side attachment is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
