Green Glass Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper Oval Forest Pendant – Magic Mushroom

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, green glass and stainless steel. The small oval openwork composition features one sculptural mushroom rising on a long, gently curved stem.

A luminous round green glass element rests at the base of the pendant within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details. A smaller faceted green glass bead adds another bright accent among the flowing dark lines.

The mushroom has a smooth conical cap without dots. A central spiral and a delicate bud-like form complete the miniature botanical composition.

The slender oval frame surrounds the organic lines without making the pendant appear heavy. Its open structure creates the impression of a tiny imaginary forest scene preserved within a dark botanical window.

The contrast between vivid green glass and blackened metal gives the necklace a mysterious woodland character. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear bright emerald, turquoise green or a deeper forest shade.

The version shown in the photographs has a smooth mushroom cap without dots, green glass and a black finish. Raised dots, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, curling stems and fragments of green light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is individually shaped by hand. Small differences in its contours, internal texture and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, stem, oval frame and glass setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
