Green Glass Mushroom Necklace – Silver Tone Forest Pendant – Botanical Art Nouveau

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, green glass and steel. The circular openwork composition features flowing botanical stems, two sculptural mushroom caps and a small bud-like detail.

A luminous round green glass element rests at the base of the pendant within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres. A smaller faceted green glass bead rises above it, adding another point of light to the silver-tone composition.

The curved stems appear to grow inside the circular frame, creating a miniature forest scene with a delicate sense of movement. The combination of translucent green glass and polished silver-tone metal gives the pendant a fresh, magical and botanical character.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each element is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of small mushrooms, young shoots and drops of green light found among moss and forest plants. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finish to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

The green glass catches and reflects the surrounding light. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, it may appear bright emerald, deep forest green or almost translucent.

Because every pendant is shaped by hand, small differences in the mushroom caps, curved stems, glass forms, dotted setting and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
