Green Glass Mushroom Trio Hoop Earrings – Blackened Copper

A pair of handcrafted mushroom hoop earrings made from copper, pewter, green glass and stainless steel. Each circular openwork composition features three sculptural mushroom caps rising on long, gently curved stems from a luminous round glass element.

The dark green glass rests near the lower edge of each hoop within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details. Its smooth reflective surface creates a rich focal point against the blackened metal.

The mushrooms are arranged at different heights, creating the impression of a miniature fungi garden growing inside each circular frame. Curled stems, rounded buds and delicate open spaces add movement while preserving the airy character of the design.

The two earrings form a coordinated pair, but every mushroom cap, stem and glass setting is shaped individually by hand. Subtle differences between them are a natural part of the handmade process and give the pair its distinctive character.

The deep black finish emphasizes the flowing lines and sculptural silhouettes. Depending on the lighting, the glass may appear dark emerald, forest green, blue-green or almost black.

The version shown in the photographs has smooth mushroom caps without dots. Dotted caps, another available glass color, a custom size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of mushroom clusters, curling stems and fragments of green light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The green glass catches and reflects the surrounding light. Its shade may vary depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle.

Because every mushroom cap, stem, glass setting and circular frame is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, glass forms and finish are natural and make every pair individual.
