Green Glass Tree Branch Earrings – Silver Tone

A pair of handcrafted asymmetrical branch earrings made from copper, pewter, steel and green glass. Each elongated openwork composition features flowing botanical lines, luminous glass elements and delicate rounded metal details.

One large round pale green glass element forms the main focal point of each earring. It rests within a textured setting of small metal spheres that emphasizes its circular shape and handmade character.

Two smaller faceted green glass beads appear at different points along the curved branches. Their vivid color contrasts with the softer, translucent shade of the larger glass element.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the larger glass may appear pale green, yellow-green, olive or almost clear, while the smaller beads shift between bright grass green and emerald.

Several slender branches end in smooth rounded metal droplets. Other lines intersect, separate and curve outward, creating the impression of fine twigs carrying berries or drops of rain.

The earrings are intentionally asymmetrical. Their compositions follow the same visual language but differ slightly in the direction, length and arrangement of the individual branches.

The polished silver-tone finish reflects the light and emphasizes the fine metal lines and handmade connections. These earrings are silver in color but are not made from sterling silver.

Despite their expressive length, the open construction keeps the earrings visually light. They can be worn as woodland jewelry, modern botanical earrings or small pieces of sculptural wearable art.

The version shown in the current photographs has pale and vivid green glass with a silver-tone finish. Another available glass color, a custom earring size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of thin branches, berries, new shoots and colored light found within the natural world. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The photographs show green glass and closed lever-back clasps rather than open ear wires.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

The glass elements are individually made, so subtle differences in their shapes, transparency, internal texture, inclusions and shades are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every branch, glass setting and rounded metal ending is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
