Large Mushroom Arc Necklace – Blackened Copper & Pewter Forest Collar – Sculptural Botanical

A large handcrafted mushroom arc necklace made from copper, pewter and stainless steel. The wide crescent-shaped centerpiece features six sculptural mushrooms and a series of delicate botanical shoots rising from a curved metal frame.

Six mushrooms grow across the composition on long, individually curved stems. Their changing heights and gently different directions create the impression of a small mushroom colony emerging from the forest floor.

Each mushroom has a smooth, hand-sculpted cap without raised dots. The caps vary naturally in shape and proportion, preserving the organic character of the handmade design.

The tallest mushrooms rise near the center, while smaller mushrooms appear toward the outer sections of the necklace. This gradual change in height follows the curve of the frame and creates a balanced fan-shaped silhouette.

Several slender shoots grow between the mushrooms and end in smooth rounded droplets. These simple botanical forms add movement and rhythm without making the open composition feel crowded.

The stems emerge from a rigid crescent-shaped base decorated with small rounded metal accents. Tiny spheres and irregular handmade connections create a textured line reminiscent of forest soil, moss or scattered seeds.

Both ends of the curved centerpiece rise gently toward integrated attachment rings. The chain connects at these two points, allowing the necklace to rest evenly across the neckline rather than hanging vertically like a traditional pendant.

The deep black finish emphasizes the long stems, smooth mushroom caps and fine open spaces between the elements. Depending on the lighting, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic, with occasional warm copper undertones.

There are no glass elements, pearls or gemstones in this design. Its character comes entirely from hand-shaped metal, flowing lines and the contrast between the strong outer arc and the delicate botanical forms.

Despite its substantial width, the open construction keeps the necklace visually airy. The design creates a bold statement without forming a heavy or solid-looking surface.

This necklace can be worn as woodland jewelry, an unusual mushroom collar or a sculptural piece of botanical wearable art.

The version shown has six smooth mushroom caps without dots and a blackened finish. Raised mushroom dots, a custom centerpiece size, another chain length or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

Because this necklace is made to order, the piece you receive will not be an exact mechanical copy of the photographed example. Small differences in the curves, mushroom shapes, spacing and proportions are natural and make every necklace individual.

This necklace is designed as a wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushroom colonies and tiny shoots growing together along the forest floor. I do not reproduce nature literally. I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, textured detail and outer frame is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.

Packaging
