Long Mushroom Pendant Necklace – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter and stainless steel. The elongated openwork composition features two sculptural mushrooms, flowing botanical lines and delicate teardrop details.

Two mushrooms rise on long, individually curved stems. The larger mushroom appears on the left, while a slightly smaller mushroom grows on the right.

Both mushrooms have smooth, hand-sculpted conical caps without raised dots. Their gently irregular outlines and different proportions preserve the organic character of the piece.

A short curved shoot grows between the mushrooms and ends in a small rounded bud. This subtle detail adds another botanical form without overcrowding the slender composition.

The long stems cross and separate as they travel through the pendant, creating an airy structure of open loops and flowing lines.

Small rounded metal accents appear where the stems intersect. Near the lower section, they form a textured cluster reminiscent of a tiny fragment of forest soil or moss.

Two narrow botanical lines extend below the textured section and end in smooth teardrop-shaped forms. Their slightly different sizes give the pendant a naturally asymmetrical finish.

The pendant hangs from a single integrated upper loop formed as part of one long curved stem. It connects to the chain through a small jump ring.

The deep black finish emphasizes the fine stems and sculptural mushroom caps. Depending on the lighting, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic, with subtle warm copper highlights in polished areas.

There are no glass elements, pearls or gemstones in this design. Its character comes entirely from hand-shaped metal, open space and flowing botanical lines.

The elongated vertical shape makes the pendant expressive while keeping it visually light. It can be worn as woodland jewelry, a mushroom talisman or a small piece of sculptural botanical art.

The version shown has two smooth mushroom caps without dots and a blackened finish. Raised mushroom dots, a custom pendant size, another chain length or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

This necklace is designed as a wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender forest mushrooms, curling shoots and tiny droplets found among plants after rain. I do not reproduce nature literally. I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, textured detail and pendant loop is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.

Packaging
