Orange Glass Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, orange glass and stainless steel. The openwork heart-shaped composition features two sculptural mushrooms rising on slender, gently curved stems above a luminous round glass element.

One mushroom has a smooth conical cap, while the second is decorated with individually formed raised dots. Their different shapes and heights create a small asymmetrical fungi scene inside the heart-shaped frame.

The large orange glass element rests at the base of the pendant within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres. A smaller faceted orange glass bead adds another bright point of color between the flowing stems.

A delicate central spiral and small rounded accents complete the composition. The open spaces within the heart keep the pendant visually light while emphasizing its unusual botanical silhouette.

The warm orange glass creates a vivid contrast with the deep black metal. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, it may appear bright orange, amber, golden yellow or a deeper honey shade.

The version shown in the photographs combines one dotted mushroom cap with one smooth cap, orange glass and a black finish. Different mushroom details, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, curling forest plants and warm fragments of light found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Small differences in its contours, internal texture and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, raised dot, stem, heart frame and glass setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, glass forms and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.

Your order will be packed with care in a kraft gift box, decorated with themed stickers and dried flowers, ready for gifting or keeping as a personal piece.
