Available on request: different mushroom details, another available pearl color, a custom hair pin size or a silver-tone finish.

A handcrafted mushroom hair pin made from copper, pewter, steel and a luminous white pearl. The sculptural botanical composition features four individually shaped mushrooms rising on long, gently curved stems around the central pearl element.

Two mushroom caps are decorated with small raised dots, while the other two have smooth surfaces. Their varied heights and shapes create the impression of a miniature fungi garden growing from the top of the hair pin.

The irregular white pearl rests at the center within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres. Its soft natural luster creates an elegant contrast with the deep black finish of the surrounding metalwork.

Two rounded bud-like forms and a delicate spiral complete the composition. The open spacing between the stems gives the piece a sense of movement while keeping its expressive silhouette visually airy.

Depending on the lighting and viewing angle, the pearl may appear pearly white, cream, pale blush or softly iridescent.

The lower section develops into two long, gently wavy prongs designed to slide into a bun, twist or another pinned hairstyle. The hair pin can be worn as a distinctive forest-inspired accessory for everyday styling, festivals, fantasy outfits, photo shoots or special occasions.

The version shown in the photographs combines two dotted mushroom caps, two smooth caps, a white pearl and a black finish. Different mushroom details, another available pearl color, a custom hair pin size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The hair pin is designed as a wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of mushroom clusters, curling forest plants and pale organic forms found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Pearls are organic materials, so small differences in shape, surface, luster and shade are natural and make every hair pin individual.

Because every mushroom cap, stem, pearl setting and decorative detail is shaped and assembled by hand, slight differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are a natural part of the handmade process.
