Pearl Mushroom Brooch – Silver Tone

A handcrafted mushroom brooch made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and a luminous pearl. The elongated sculptural composition features four smooth mushroom caps rising on slender, gently curved stems from a textured pearl setting.

The mushrooms are arranged at different heights and vary subtly in size, creating the impression of a small fungi cluster growing naturally from the base of the brooch. Their flowing stems spread outward in an airy, fan-like composition.

A round pearl forms the visual center of the design. It is surrounded by a textured border of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details that connect it to the mushroom stems.

Depending on the surrounding light and viewing angle, the pearl may appear pearly white, pale blush, soft peach or gently iridescent. Its natural luster creates a delicate contrast with the polished silver-tone metal.

The open construction keeps the brooch visually light while allowing the long stems and sculptural mushroom caps to remain clearly visible. It can be worn on a jacket, coat, scarf, hat or another suitable textile accessory.

The version shown in the photographs has four smooth mushroom caps without dots, a pale pearl and a silver-tone finish. Dotted caps, another available pearl color, a custom brooch size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

The brooch is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of delicate mushroom clusters, long forest stems and pale organic forms found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

The fastening mechanism is shaped and sharpened by hand to create a secure brooch pin. Please attach it carefully to a suitable fabric.

Pearls are organic materials, so small differences in shape, surface, luster and shade are natural and make every brooch individual.

Because every mushroom cap, stem and pearl setting is shaped and assembled by hand, slight differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are a natural part of the handmade process.
