Pearl Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and a white pearl. The elongated oval composition features three sculptural mushrooms rising on slender, gently curved stems.

A luminous round pearl rests at the base of the pendant within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details. Its soft white luster creates an elegant contrast with the deep black metalwork.

The three mushrooms are arranged at different heights and have smooth, individually shaped caps. A central spiral and a small rounded botanical bud add movement and balance to the open composition.

The oval frame surrounds the delicate stems without making the pendant appear heavy. Its narrow, elongated silhouette creates the impression of a tiny fungi garden preserved within a dark botanical window.

The pearl may reveal subtle white, cream, pale pink or silvery reflections depending on the surrounding light and viewing angle.

The version shown in the photographs has three smooth mushroom caps without dots, a white pearl and a black finish. Raised dots, another available pearl color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, curling forest plants and pale organic forms found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Pearls are organic materials, so small differences in shape, surface, luster and shade are natural and make every necklace individual.

Because every mushroom cap, stem, oval frame and pearl setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are a natural part of the handmade process.
