Red Glass Amanita Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper & Pewter Forest Pendant

A handcrafted amanita mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, red glass and stainless steel. The elongated sculptural composition features a single dotted mushroom rising on a long, slender stem above a luminous round glass element.

The broad conical mushroom cap is decorated with individually formed raised dots. A small tapered detail beneath the cap connects it to the gently curved stem, creating a delicate and slightly surreal silhouette.

The large red glass element rests at the base of the pendant within a textured setting of tiny metal spheres. A smaller round red glass bead adds another bright accent among the flowing dark lines.

Curved botanical stems, rounded buds and a delicate spiral grow upward from the glass setting. These abstract details give the pendant movement and create the impression of a tiny imaginary forest surrounding the solitary mushroom.

The vivid red glass forms a striking contrast with the deep black metal. Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, it may appear bright scarlet, cherry red, deep ruby or softly translucent.

The version shown in the photographs has a dotted mushroom cap, red glass and a black finish. A smooth cap without dots, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, curling stems and glowing red fragments found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Small differences in its contours, internal texture and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, raised dot, stem and glass setting is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, proportions, glass forms and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.

Packaging

Your order will be packed with care in a kraft gift box, decorated with themed stickers and dried flowers, ready for gifting or keeping as a personal piece.
