A handcrafted bird pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, red glass and stainless steel. The compact sculptural design combines a small silver-tone bird with a luminous round red glass element held within a dotted metal setting.
The smooth bird silhouette and rich translucent glass create a simple yet expressive composition. As the surrounding light changes, the red glass shifts from bright crimson to a deeper wine-red tone.
The pendant is designed as a small wearable object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each element is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.
The design begins with observations of small birds resting quietly on branches and watching the world around them. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these impressions to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.
I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finish to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.
The red glass catches and reflects the surrounding light and may appear bright red, deep crimson or darker depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle.
Because every Yadovito piece is made by hand, small differences in the bird shape, glass appearance, dotted setting and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
