A pair of handcrafted asymmetrical branch earrings made from copper, pewter, steel and deep red glass. Each elongated openwork composition resembles a delicate botanical branch carrying luminous berries and sculptural seed-like forms.
Two rounded red glass elements form the main focal points in each earring. Their smooth handmade surfaces are surrounded by textured metal settings formed from tiny individual spheres.
A smaller faceted dark red glass bead appears on another curved branch. Its translucent surface catches the light and introduces a delicate point of movement between the larger glass elements.
The remaining branches end in individually shaped metal details. Across the asymmetrical pair, these include smooth rounded droplets, an elongated seed-like ending and a small textured cluster.
Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear deep red, burgundy, garnet, wine-colored or almost dark brown.
The two earrings are intentionally asymmetrical. They share the same materials and visual rhythm, but the direction of the branches and arrangement of the sculptural endings differ across the pair.
The polished silver-tone finish reflects the light and emphasizes the fine curved lines, textured glass settings and handmade connections. These earrings are silver in color but are not made from sterling silver.
Despite their expressive length, the open construction keeps the earrings visually light. They can be worn as woodland jewelry, unusual berry earrings or small pieces of sculptural botanical art.
The version shown in the photographs has deep red glass and a silver-tone finish. Another available glass color, a custom earring size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.
These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.
The design begins with impressions of slender branches, autumn berries, seed pods and dark drops of colored light found within the natural world. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.
I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The photographs show three red glass elements and a closed lever-back clasp on each earring rather than open ear wires.
The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.
The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Subtle differences in its contours, internal texture, transparency and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.
Because every branch, glass setting and sculptural metal ending is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
