A pair of handcrafted mushroom hoop earrings made from copper, pewter, red glass and stainless steel. Each large circular frame contains a delicate composition of mushrooms growing upward on long slender stems, accented with small round red glass elements and organic metal details.
The open circular design creates a light, graphic silhouette, while the dark metal and deep red glass form a striking contrast. Each composition is shaped individually by hand, so the two earrings remain a coordinated pair while retaining subtle natural differences.
These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical sculptures, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each element is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.
The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms emerging from the forest floor among berries, moss and delicate stems. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.
I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is darkened with patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finish to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.
The red glass catches and reflects the surrounding light and may appear brighter, darker or slightly different in tone depending on the lighting and background.
Because every mushroom cap, stem and circular frame is shaped by hand, small differences in curves, glass placement, texture and finish are natural and make each pair individual.
