Red Glass Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper Forest Pendant – Psychedelic Botanical

A handcrafted mushroom pendant necklace made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and luminous red glass. The elongated openwork composition features two sculptural mushrooms, two rounded glass elements and delicate flowing botanical lines.

The two mushrooms rise on long curved stems at different sides of the pendant. Each has a smooth, individually shaped conical cap without raised dots.

Two translucent red glass elements appear between the mushroom stems. One is small and vivid, while the other is larger and deeper in color, creating an intentionally unbalanced organic rhythm.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the glass may appear bright scarlet, ruby red, garnet, burgundy or almost dark cherry.

Small metal details crown the glass elements and visually connect them with the surrounding stems. Their rounded forms resemble berries or drops of colored light growing within an imaginary forest.

A tall central line leads into the integrated pendant loop at the top. Its gentle curve helps the long composition hang naturally from the chain.

Another stem curls inward to form a small open spiral with a rounded end. This delicate detail adds movement and balances the wider mushroom caps.

At the base, the stems gather around a textured cluster of small metal spheres. Two elongated droplet-shaped endings complete the pendant’s narrow vertical silhouette.

The deep black finish emphasizes the fine curved lines, smooth mushroom caps and vivid red glass. Depending on the light, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic.

Despite its expressive length, the open construction keeps the pendant visually light. It can be worn as woodland jewelry, an unusual mushroom talisman or a small piece of sculptural wearable art.

The version shown in the photographs has two smooth mushroom caps without dots, two red glass elements and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, another available glass color, a custom pendant size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

The pendant is designed as a small wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of tall forest mushrooms, slender stems, curling shoots and fragments of red light found among woodland plants. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass is melted in a special kiln and individually shaped. Subtle differences in its contours, internal texture, bubbles, transparency and shade are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass element and metal ending is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
