Rose Quartz Mushroom Earrings – Blackened Copper

A pair of handcrafted mushroom earrings made from copper, pewter, stainless steel and rose quartz. Each sculptural composition combines a smooth conical mushroom cap with a round pale-pink stone bead on two long, gently curved stems.

The mushroom and rose quartz bead rise at different heights, creating an airy botanical silhouette. The flowing stems cross near the lower part of each earring and develop into a delicate openwork structure finished with tiny rounded metal details.

The natural rose quartz adds a soft blush-colored accent to the deep black metal. Its shade may vary from pale pink and milky rose to a subtle lilac tone depending on the stone, lighting and surrounding colors.

The smooth mushroom caps and simple stone forms create a balance between botanical imagery and abstract sculptural design. The open construction keeps the earrings visually light and allows them to move gently when worn.

The two earrings form a coordinated pair, but every mushroom cap, stem and decorative detail is individually shaped by hand. Small differences between them are a natural part of the handmade process and give each pair its own character.

The version shown in the photographs has smooth mushroom caps without dots. Dotted caps, another earring size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender mushrooms, pale forest berries and delicate stems found among moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

Rose quartz is a natural stone, so small variations in color, translucency, inclusions and surface appearance are normal and make every pair individual.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem and decorative detail is shaped and assembled by hand, slight differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural.
