A pair of handcrafted amanita mushroom earrings made from copper, pewter and stainless steel. Each minimalist composition features one sculptural mushroom with a dotted cap and an exceptionally long, slender stem.
The broad conical caps are decorated with individually formed raised dots. Their softly irregular surfaces give the earrings the recognizable character of amanita mushrooms while preserving the expressive quality of hand-shaped metal.
Each fine stem descends in a gently curved line and ends in a small rounded droplet. The uninterrupted vertical form gives the earrings an elegant sense of movement while keeping the design visually light.
The two earrings form a coordinated pair, but their stems are not mechanically identical. Subtle differences in their curves and proportions emphasize the natural individuality of the handmade work.
The polished silver-tone surface reflects the light and highlights the dotted mushroom caps, fine stems and delicate rounded endings. These earrings are silver in color but are not made from sterling silver.
Their narrow elongated shape makes them expressive without appearing visually heavy. They can be worn as minimalist woodland jewelry, subtle witchy earrings or small pieces of fungi-inspired wearable art.
The version shown in the photographs has dotted mushroom caps and a silver-tone finish. Smooth caps without dots, another earring size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.
These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.
The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, slender forest stems and small natural forms emerging through moss and fallen leaves. I do not reproduce nature exactly; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.
I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.
