Silver Handcrafted Amanita Mushroom Earrings

A pair of handcrafted amanita mushroom earrings made from copper, pewter and stainless steel. Each sculptural earring features a conical mushroom cap decorated with individually formed raised dots and an exceptionally long, slender stem.

A small teardrop-shaped detail finishes the lower end of each stem, balancing the elongated silhouette. The unusual proportions give the earrings a delicate and slightly surreal character inspired by solitary fly agaric mushrooms growing among moss and fallen leaves.

The polished silver-tone surface reflects the light and emphasizes the textured caps, fine stems and subtle irregularities created during the handmade process.

Their minimalist construction keeps the earrings visually light and allows them to move gently when worn. The long vertical form creates an elegant line while retaining the distinctive woodland character of the design.

The two earrings form a coordinated pair, but every mushroom cap, raised dot and stem is individually shaped by hand. Small natural differences between them are part of the handmade process and make every pair unique.

The version shown in the photographs has dotted mushroom caps and a silver-tone finish. Smooth caps without dots, another earring size or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

These earrings are designed as small wearable botanical objects, somewhere between jewelry, natural memories and personal symbols. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of solitary mushrooms, delicate stems and unusual forms found within the forest. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

Because every mushroom cap and stem is individually shaped by hand rather than cast or stamped, small differences in the dots, curves, proportions, surface texture and finish are natural and make each pair unique.
