Square Mushroom Necklace – Copper & Pewter

A handcrafted square mushroom necklace made from copper, pewter and steel. The open geometric pendant frames a miniature forest composition of sculptural mushrooms, slender stems and seed-like botanical forms.

The current main version features four mushrooms growing from a richly textured lower section. They rise at different heights, creating the impression of a small imaginary colony enclosed withiew0turn991103view1

The tallest mushroom stands near the center. Two medium-height mushrooms appear on either side, while a smaller mushroom grows closer to the textured base.

Each mushroom has an individually shaped conical cap. The version shown in the current main photograph has smooth caps without a decorative pattern of raised dots.

Two curved stems end in elongated seed-like buds. Positioned on opposite sides of the mushroom group, they introduce additional botanical forms and balance the open composition.

A separate slender shoot curls inward and finishes in a smooth rounded droplet. Its flowing line contrasts with the simple geometry of the square outer frame.

The mushrooms and stems emerge from a textured cluster of small handmade metal spheres. This irregular lower section resembles a miniature patch of forest soil or moss.

Additional tiny rounded accents appear along the lower edge and sides of the frame, visually connecting the straight outer structure with the organic forms inside it.

The square frame has softly rounded corners and an intentionally handmade outline. A centered upper loop connects the pendant to the chain through a small jump ring, allowing it to hang freely from one attachment point.

The current main version is finished in a silver tone, emphasizing the shapes of the mushrooms and delicate internal lines. A deep black-patina finish is also available on request.

Despite its geometric shape, the open construction keeps the pendant visually light. It can be worn as woodland jewelry, a subtle mushroom talisman or a small piece of sculptural botanical art.

The current main-photo version has four smooth mushroom caps without dots and a silver-tone finish. Raised mushroom dots, a custom pendant size, another chain length or a black finish may be requested through personalization.

Because this necklace is made to order and every component is shaped by hand, the exact curves, spacing and proportions may differ slightly from the photographed piece. These natural variations make every necklace individual.

This necklace is designed as a wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of slender forest mushrooms, seed pods, curling shoots and small colonies growing from the same patch of earth. I do not reproduce nature literally. I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its silver-tone appearance.

Because every mushroom cap, stem, textured detail and square frame is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
