Woodland Mushroom Branch Necklace with Amber – Blackened Copper

A handcrafted woodland mushroom branch necklace made from natural wood, copper, pewter, amber and stainless steel. The pendant features a sculptural cluster of blackened mushrooms and warm amber beads growing from an irregular piece of wood.
Its large horizontal form creates a distinctive piece of forest-inspired wearable art. Each piece is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.
The design begins with impressions of small forest mushrooms, bark and quiet forms found on the forest floor. I do not reproduce nature literally; I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears. The result remains open to imagination and personal interpretation.
I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The metal is darkened with patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finish to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.
Natural wood varies in grain, tone and contour; these differences are an essential part of the finished piece.
The amber beads may vary slightly in color, pattern and transparency because amber is a natural material.
Because every Yadovito piece is made by hand, small differences in shape, texture and finish are natural and make each item individual.

About Yadovito
Every form begins with a feeling.
Yadovito is an independent artist studio creating handcrafted nature jewelry and wearable art shaped by personal observations of the natural world. I do not try to reproduce nature exactly. I give form to a feeling — and invite others to find their own story in it.
