Yellow Glass Mushroom Necklace – Blackened Copper Forest Centerpiece – Psychedelic

A handcrafted mushroom necklace made from copper, pewter, steel and luminous yellow glass. The open fan-shaped centerpiece features three sculptural mushrooms rising above two contrasting glass elements.

Three mushrooms stand at different heights on slender, individually curved stems. Each has a smooth conical cap without raised dots, creating a delicate group of dark forest silhouettes.

A large round opaque yellow glass element forms the glowing base of the composition. Its saturated color creates a bold focal point within the black metal structure.

The large glass element is surrounded by an irregular setting of tiny metal spheres and pointed organic details, resembling a miniature patch of imaginary forest soil.

A smaller oval yellow-green glass element appears higher in the composition on a separate central stem. Its translucent surface and textured dotted setting create a secondary point of light between the mushroom caps.

Depending on the lighting, background and viewing angle, the larger glass may appear lemon yellow, golden yellow or warm amber yellow. The smaller element may shift between lime, olive and yellow-green.

Fine curved side stems extend outward from the centerpiece and finish in smooth rounded droplets. Their flowing lines visually connect the forest composition with the chain attachments.

The necklace chain attaches to two integrated rings positioned at the outer sides of the centerpiece. This two-point construction allows the decorative section to rest evenly across the neckline rather than turning like a pendant suspended from one loop.

The deep black finish emphasizes the smooth mushroom caps, delicate stems and intense yellow glass. Depending on the light, the metal may appear matte black, dark graphite or softly metallic.

Despite its expressive color and detailed construction, the open spaces between the stems keep the necklace visually airy. It can be worn as woodland jewelry, psychedelic mushroom jewelry or a small piece of sculptural botanical art.

The version shown in the photographs has three smooth mushroom caps without dots, one large yellow glass element, one smaller yellow-green glass element and a black finish. Raised mushroom dots, other available glass colors, a custom centerpiece size or a silver-tone finish may be requested through personalization.

This necklace is designed as a wearable botanical object, somewhere between jewelry, a natural memory and a personal symbol. Each component is shaped and finished by hand in my family workshop on the Baltic coast of Poland.

The design begins with impressions of tall mushrooms, delicate forest stems and bright fragments of yellow light found within the natural world. I do not reproduce nature literally. I allow these observations to guide the material until a new form appears.

I do not usually begin with a finished sketch. The work grows intuitively during the making process — through the dialogue between hands, materials and feeling.

The photographs confirm three smooth mushrooms, two glass elements and a two-point chain attachment.

The metal is covered with black patina, carefully sanded and polished, then treated with an antioxidant finishing solution to help protect the surface and preserve its deep tone.

The glass may vary subtly in outline, internal texture, transparency and shade. These differences are natural characteristics of handmade glass elements.

Because every mushroom cap, curved stem, glass setting and side attachment is shaped and assembled by hand, small differences in the curves, spacing, proportions and finish are natural and make each necklace individual.
